What makes Lapwell different?
Many fountains need an outlet nearby. Lapwell runs on a built-in 5000 mAh battery, so there's no cord on the floor and you can put it wherever your cat likes to drink. A radar sensor starts the water when your cat comes close and stops it a minute after they leave.
Will my cat use it?
Many cats are drawn to moving water, but every cat is different and some take a few days to get curious. Tip: place it away from the food bowl, and try constant-flow mode (press the power button twice) for the first few days. If it's not a fit, you're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.
How do I clean it and change the filter?
The tank, pump, tray and filter box all come apart. Give them a quick rinse about once a week. We recommend a fresh filter every 2–4 weeks, so a 6-pack lasts a few months.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 160 days per charge in sensor mode. Battery life depends on how often your cat drinks and which mode you use; constant-flow mode uses more power.
Shipping and returns
Free tracked shipping to every province and territory. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and usually arrive 5–10 business days after they ship. Full details are in our shipping policy and refund policy.
How loud is it?
Quiet. The pump is rated at about 20 dB, calm enough for a bedroom, and in sensor mode it only runs while your cat is nearby and for about a minute after.

Why cats skip the bowl
Your cat isn't picky. Still water just isn't tempting.
Many cats are drawn to moving water and walk past a bowl that's been sitting all day. Lapwell gives them fresh, filtered, flowing water, without a cord across your floor.
Your cat walks up
A radar sensor notices them within about 1 metre.
The water starts flowing
Fresh, filtered water, quiet at about 20 dB.
It rests when they leave
It stops a minute later, so one charge lasts up to 160 days in sensor mode.
